Privacy Policy

Vencore, Inc. (“Vencore”) is committed to safeguarding your privacy online and to the proper handling of personally identifiable information that we collect about you.  This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) explains how we handle the collection, storage and use of information related to your use of our web site a  http://www.vencore.com (the “Site”).  This Policy and the Site Terms of Use (“Terms”), govern your use of the Site.  Vencore reserves the right to amend the Policy at any time and without notice, so please check this page periodically for any updates.

What Information is Collected

Vencore collects information that personally identifies you from you when, for example, you submit feedback, requests for information or other inquiries or information through web forms submitted through the Site that require you to input your contact details (“Submissions”).  For example, Vencore may collect your name, telephone number, address, e-mail address(es), the company you work for and other information that you submit to or through the Site that alone or in combination with other information you submit may identify you personally.

Vencore also collects information about when and how you use our Site and the areas of the Site that you visit.  The Site uses cookies, text files that are sent to your computer when you visit a website, and other automated scripts and files used to track or trace traffic in or to the Site.  These tools allow the Site to recognize you based on your past visits to the Site, or your arrival at the Site after visiting other web sites (for example, from our business partners), and may store information about your preferences and activity on the Site.  None of these tools is used to determine, collect or transmit personally identifiable information about you.  You can adjust your browser settings to refuse or restrict the use of cookies and other Site analysis tools, though doing so may affect your ability to use and interact with the Site.  Vencore also uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”), to gather statistics in connection with your use of this Site.  This web analytics tool helps Vencore understand how visitors engage with the Site.  Google Analytics collects information anonymously and reports website trends without identifying individual visitors.  Google Analytics uses cookies to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behavior information in an anonymous manner.  This information is transmitted to and stored by Google.  Google Analytics uses only first-party cookies for data analysis.  This means that the cookies are linked to the Site’s domain and Google Analytics will only use that cookie data for statistical analysis related to your browsing behavior on the Site.  Again, if you do not wish to have your Site activities tracked in this manner, you can opt out by turning off cookies in the preference settings in your browser. 

Google Analytics also collects your Internet Protocol (IP) address to provide Vencore with an understanding of the physical location of Site users.  An IP address is a unique number assigned to every computer and device connected to the Internet.

How Your Information is Used and Stored

The information we receive about you or from you may be used by us to process your inquiry or request; to comply with any law, regulation, audit or court order; to help improve our website; or for research.

Vencore does not sell, lease, license or rent personally identifiable information collected about you with third parties without your consent.  Vencore may share your personally identifiable information with its affiliates, but only to the extent the affiliates have a need to know your information in order for us to respond to Submissions by you.  Vencore may also provide your information to third party service providers to Vencore, to assist Vencore in, for example, contacting you to follow up on a Submission you made to the Site.  The Careers section of the Site includes a portal hosted by a third party vendor of Vencore that collects for Vencore inquiries, applications and other information submitted through the portal in connection with Vencore’s recruitment and career opportunity activities.  If you register on our Careers portal, your registration information will be collected by our vendor and shared with us, and if you make Submissions through the portal, that information will be provided to us.  Vencore requires third party business partners who collect or obtain personal information about you for us to maintain that information in confidence, and not to license, sell or otherwise transfer such information except to Vencore and as required to provide the vendor’s services for Vencore.

Anonymous data collected using automated means may be analyzed on an aggregated basis to learn more about Site user preferences, and to understand Site traffic patterns or other user behavior on the Site. Vencore may share that aggregated and anonymized data with third parties for marketing, promotion and advertising purposes, or to enhance the Site or our products and services offerings.

Children's Privacy

The Site, and the products and services offered through or described on the Site, are not meant for children under the age of 13.  Vencore will not knowingly retain any personally identifiable information that is inadvertently included in an e-mail submission, help inquiry, or other request submitted through the Site that Vencore learns was submitted by a child under the age of 13.  If Vencore learns that it has collected personally identifiable information about a child under the age of 13, Vencore will delete such information promptly after Vencore has been made aware of the issue.

Links

The Site may provide links to other websites, which have their own information collection practices. If you link to or from the Site from other websites, you should review carefully the privacy policy on those third party sites to determine what rules may apply to the use and disclosure of your personally identifiable information by the operators of those sites.  The Site may include third-party advertisements, and to the extent you click through advertising links, the privacy policy of the advertiser providing the advertisement will govern the use of any personally identifiable information collected during your access to the site of the advertiser.  Vencore is not responsible for the collection, storage or use of personally identifiable information collected by third party sites.

The Site also includes social media features and links.  Those features and links may be hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Site. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it.

Monitoring and Security

Vencore may, but is not obligated to, monitor Site use.  Vencore reserves the right to store, review and disclose to third parties any information, including your personally identifiable information, obtained on or through the Site as may be needed or requested to satisfy any applicable governmental law, regulation, investigation or proceeding, including any court order.  Vencore may also map IP addresses to your personal information if Vencore believes it must do so to enforce compliance with the Terms, this Policy, Site security or a government order.

Vencore takes commercially reasonable steps to protect the security of the personally identifiable information collected through the Site.  Although Vencore takes these steps in the normal course, you should know that transmissions of data over the Internet cannot be guaranteed to be secure.  Vencore takes reasonable precautions to ensure the integrity and security of its internal information technology systems.  However, Vencore cannot guarantee that its systems will not be compromised.  As a result, Vencore does not warrant that your personally identifiable information will not be disclosed to or accessed by parties other than those authorized under this Policy.

Managing your Information

If you request, Vencore will disclose to you the personally identifiable information collected by Vencore about you.  If you desire to update, modify or delete any personally identifiable information you have provided via the Site, Vencore will take commercially reasonable efforts to fulfill your requests.  Please note, however, that Vencore may need to retain, for purposes of enforcing this Policy or the Terms, to resolve or respond to disputes or litigation, or to provide information to satisfy applicable laws, regulations, investigations or proceedings, your personally identifiable information in our files. Additionally, your personally identifiable information may be retained in residual back-up files that are a function of our network’s back-up systems.
