Chantilly, Va. — August 4, 2015 — Vencore, Inc. announced today that it was awarded a prime contracting position with the General Services Administration’s (GSA’s) Public Building Service (PBS) to manage its portal interface to PBS applications. The three-year contract term includes two one-year extension options valued at up to $7.4 million.
Vencore will provide operations and maintenance of the PBS intranet portal, the PBS extranet portal and the PBS WebCenter under the scope of the program. Vencore will also manage the operations and maintenance of the User Identity Management System (UIMS) as a required enhancement.
“Vencore’s legacy in systems engineering and software development provide us with the necessary experience to offer exceptional value and expertise to GSA on this program,” said Mac Curtis, president and chief executive officer of Vencore. “Our unparalleled responsiveness and customer focus will also support program enhancements that make the system both more secure and more accessible to users.”
This program serves GSA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer in its Office of Public Buildings Information Technology Services (PB-ITS) function. Vencore’s work will support the national and regional applications that are utilized by the PBS organization on a daily basis.
Currently, the portal allows intranet and extranet users to access applications via a single sign on (SSO) process with UIMS, which allows users to request access to one or more of the core business line applications via a single access request process. Additionally, UIMS utilizes the Oracle Internet Directory (OID) to authenticate a user’s access privileges or roles during the SSO process.
Work on the program has already commenced.
